Bright Light Parade  proclaims a powerful message of purity, servant-hood and seeking the will of God in the everyday life of relationships, struggles, and blessings! Each song’s lyrics delve into the depths of teen and adult life through a Christian perspective, and are the anthem of sisters Lex and Torre Anderson. Their writing accurately describes the dance of emotions we all go through, but coming from the perspective of one pursuing growth in following Christ. With an ever increasing fanbase, millions of views from some of their YouTube posts, and a steady tour schedule, Bright Light Parade is one of the most exciting new artists to emerge onto the Christian music scene in a very long time. Although the band is still relatively new, they are already a seasoned touring band having played around the country at Christian clubs, colleges, retreats, camps, and festivals, including Sonshine and the main stage of Lifelight. Bright Light Parade will also be part of the Voices in the Night tour this spring with Tooth and Nail recording artists “I Am Empire”, and VSR Music Group’s own “Silverline.”Allied with both World Vision and World View Warriors, this group has made its way accentuated by their family bond and the support of a devoted fan base. “We love what we do”, says lead vocalist Lex Anderson

 The Disorientation of Butterflies

An Original Musical

Music by Nathan A. Schmidt

Lyrics and Libretto by Alaska Reece Vance

 AT

ESSENTIAL CHURCH

8:00 pm Saturday August 6th

Donations appreciated

The Disorientation of Butterflies was written by two Regent University students in 2010 and was accepted into the highly competitive 2011 New York International Fringe Festival.  The cast of the musical is currently rehearsing in VA Beach and will be performing the show at a few select local churches in preparation for their NYC production.

A must-see for anyone who has struggled with depression, cutting, or has loved someone with similar issues, The Disorientation of Butterflies is a beautiful glimpse into the life of 30-year-old art student, Jessie, who is haunted by the need to understand the mysteries of life and death. Her twin sister, Johanna, is uninterested at best.  Can two sisters really be so different?

The Disorientation of Butterflies features Bradley James Archer, M.F.A., Katie Fridsma, M.F.A., Chad Rasor M.F.A. RaChelle Cheeks, Marji Peters and Beth Litwak. The show will be directed by Alaska Reece Vance with Music Direction by Nathan A. Schmidt and Choreography by RaChelle Cheeks. Prodcution and Stage Management by Courtney Conger and Brittney Reimert.  Production art by JT Fridsma.

Due to the intense subject matter, this musical is not recommended for young children.
